SLT teachers

In establishing the School, a major focus was placed on education methodology and, of course, highly qualified teaching staff. After carefully searching for and interviewing the teachers for our training programs, we can now proudly declare that SLT’s teaching staff are specialists who inspire with their knowledge and experience. These are people with empathy and patience. Since these are all native speakers, they automatically immerse children in the language environment. Each of the staff has gained solid expertise overseas and has a wealth of experience in communicative methods for teaching complex but demanding subjects, which basically are the future. Each of the teachers is a “psychologist” in spirit able to find common language with the child and become his or her friend. Rest assured that your kid will not even notice how easily she or he overcame the language barrier.

Welcome to my profile. My name is Teacher Bash. I am a qualified TEFL AND TESOL teacher with 6 years of experince. I have a C1 Advanced English certificate and a degree is Social studies.

My teaching methods are a combination of communication language teaching which allows students to communicate in real life scenarios and express their feelings, inquiry based learning which allows students to ask questions, solving problems and motivating students to participate in projects and tasks. These approaches are combined with TPR and visual presentations.

We do a variety of different activities in class which allows student to interact with each other and listen to other students perspectives. I ensure all activities and lessons are engaging and interact between student and teacher.

My name is Mariel. I have always enjoyed teaching English. I have taught English to Korean, Indonesian, Taiwanese, Chinese, Ukrainian, Russian and Japanese students. I am absolutely pleased to share my stories and travel experiences. I am friendly, cheerful and very understanding. I can also be flexible in terms of teaching styles,learning capabilities and methodologies. I also adhere to learning through play methodology and I do appropriately customize my courses and games to make a lesson memorable and effective for each and every student. I am Lilita Mlahlwa from South Africa.  I have been teaching English Online for over a year and I have experience in teaching young learners as well as young adults. As a teacher, I make use of different teaching styles to ensure that my students are able to grasp concepts easier by using props and TPR. I create a safe environment for my students by being active, positive and having a welcoming attitude towards them. My students’ needs come first. I make sure I have good and constructive feedback for them. I have good written and verbal communication, my lesson materials are clear, they give students a good understanding of what has been taught.  I am patient, kind and confident in what I do.

Happy day! You can call me Teacher Dale, but my name is Dale Bajenting. I have a degree in education with an English major. I can help you with speaking, reading, writing, listening, and other aspects of the English language. Additionally, I have a strong background in English literature and have written numerous essays, poems, novels, articles, and other types of writing. Despite its complexity, I have always loved English since it allows me to improve in my two areas of passion: reading and writing. I have a decent grasp of the language. Additionally, I can instruct young children who are just beginning to acquire the English language in phonics. Fun can be had with me. I make sure that my lessons are interesting and worthwhile.Since I really believe that learning is more meaningful when students are having fun in the classroom, I make sure that my classes are both enjoyable and purposeful. I make sure kids are learning and having fun at the same time since I know that too much pressure will not be beneficial for them and will negatively impact their learning process. Last but not least, I am adaptable and resilient, which enables me to handle various demands and continually modify for my students in order to satisfy their needs.

Jason P. Grasse

My strengths would include my vast experience that has covered every possible ESL course at all levels.  I taught in South Korea, China and the Mid East with students from around the world.  Thus, I am able to cross cultures and build solid communication channels with all students everywhere.  Further, my education covers both science and business.  This allows for a wide variety of topics to be worked on in the classroom.

Further, I create a relaxed and comfortable environment in the class which makes everyone feel at ease and speak their minds.  I have done endless classes on IELTS and TOEFL with best results in writing and speaking.  Finally, I identify the core interests and talents of the students and try to focus on them as it is motivational.

Phillip Braden

Hello future students and thank you for reading my short introduction.  My name is Phillip Holland.  I am

an American with a Master’s degree in history.  I have been teaching English online for the last five

years.  In addition to teaching English, I have also taught history and writing for over fifteen years.  While

I take pride in being able to reach students of all ages, I especially like working with preteens and teens

the most since this is my specialty as an American classroom teacher.  I have a TESOL certificate and I

believe that the best way to learn a language is through regular meaningful practice with a native

speaker.  I would like to work with you and provide the guidance you need to take your English to the
